Renowned for his integrated mastery of infrastructure structuring, real estate, and project finance, Byron serves as a trusted counsel to project sponsors, developers, lenders, and institutional investors navigating complex, asset-heavy markets.
His practice is focused on private sector-led infrastructure initiatives, regularly advising on market-defining Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), long-term concessions, and BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) frameworks for vital public assets, ranging from major transport corridors and power plants to municipal utility systems.
Byron’s distinct edge lies in his ability to bridge sophisticated transactional strategy with ground-level execution. From initial bankability and land acquisition frameworks to regulatory navigation, EPC construction contracting, and final financial close, he delivers end-to-end legal solutions that safeguard capital and align multi-stakeholder interests across the full project lifecycle.
Driven by the belief that legal practice should serve as a lever for social progress as much as commercial value, he measures infrastructure success by its tangible human impact. His advisory work on landmark commercial developments, including a major industrial manufacturing facility that generated over 3,000 direct Kenyan jobs, reflects his commitment to delivering legal solutions that build enduring economic capability. Byron previously served as Legal Director at AAMECC, providing governance oversight and strategic legal advisory at board level. His work spans Kenya and the East African region, with a growing pan African focus on cross border investments and infrastructure linked developments.
