Construction and Infrastructure
- Represented an employer in disputes arising from a KES 263 million FIDIC-governed irrigation infrastructure project, including arbitration proceedings and subsequent amicable settlement.
- Advised a state corporation on disputes arising from national power transmission projects valued at more than USD 31 million and KES 312 million, developing contractual and dispute management strategies that facilitated project completion without arbitration.
- Advised on the termination, takeover and completion of a 400/220kV Substation Project, including procurement, contractual and project-continuity considerations.
Banking and Financial services
- Advised and represented a leading financial institution in a multi-faceted secured lending litigation concerning the protection and enforcement of security interests over properties valued at more than KES 7.1 billion, while advancing a commercially focused resolution and recovery strategy.
- Represented a regional bank in a KES 351 million commercial dispute, advising on strategic procedural and settlement considerations and, following default, advancing enforcement measures to protect and maximise the bank’s recovery position.
- Advised and represented a local financial institution in connection with a software licensing and implementation agreement valued at more than USD 2 million, advising on contractual structuring, implementation obligations, risk allocation and dispute resolution.
Public sector, governance and regulated industries
- Has advised and represented public sector institutions and regulated organisations on intersectional constitutional, administrative, governance and employment matters, with particular experience involving statutory mandates, institutional decision-making, appointments and recruitment processes, regulatory and oversight functions, and the exercise of public power.
- His experience includes constitutional challenges concerning judicial appointments and recruitment processes; the constitutional mandates of commissions and other public institutions, including disputes concerning the determination of remuneration for medical practitioners and interns; boundary delimitation exercises; and electoral processes, including presidential elections and related constitutional litigation before the Supreme Court of Kenya.
